Ballard Lake is located in the Northwoods of Wisconsin near the town of Boulder Junction. This is the location for countless Nurre family vacations that involve everything from summer kayaking to winter ice fishing. My dad and his best friend are proud muskie fishermen, so the boat in this painting spends much time floating along the shoreline of Ballard Lake, waiting patiently for the next big catch.
