Real-time Watercolor Snowflake Tutorial Using Masking Fluid

Let's bring a little color to these winter days!

Join me in painting a few beautiful snowflakes. Follow along in the easy step-by-step process. Steps include (1) taping paper, (2) sketching snowflakes, (3) masking snowflakes, (4) painting snowflakes, and (5) removing masking fluid. Use any watercolor materials available! 

Please having the following types of items accessible.

  • Watercolor palette with blues and purples
  • Removable masking fluid (I use Winsor Newton)
  • Watercolor Paper
  • Watercolor Brush - I use two types in the video - flat and round
  • Masking Tape
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
